CREW
Mishka Titus, Editor
Mishka was born in Cape Town and has lived here all her life. She has always had a passion for stories and all the ways they can satisfy the soul and inspire conversation. Since starting at AFDA and learning about editing and sound design in particular, she has found an aspect of storytelling that, from a technical but still creative position, allows her to bring to life the stories she feels most moved by. She aims to grow as a storyteller by learning from the industry professionals she will work under, bettering her skills in multiple departments and developing her own style.
Divan Venter, Producer
Growing up in the small town of Queenstown, Divan has had a desire to write stories and produce narratives that amplify the voices of those that need a platform. From a young age, Divan knew that telling stories is a vital aspect for relativity to connect people of different genders, races and cultures. Divan embodies that of sunshine and joy within our crew and paves a wave for conflict resolution.
Noah de Villiers, Producer
Noah grew up in Cape Town, where he is currently a producing student in his final year of film school at AFDA. A performer by trade, Noah is a part-time student at the Byron Bure Academy of Theatre Arts and has played roles in numerous local theatre productions. His passion for film came from a desire to better understand the entire filmmaking process, as well as his love for stop-motion animation, which was the focus of his high school art journey. Although his focus lies with producing, he is also a capable editor, which furthers his innate desire to tell emotionally nuanced stories.
Lumka Sibeko, Director & Writer
Lumka hails from Durban, South Africa known for its sunny days and friendly people. Her love of the arts steamed from her admiration of the theatre productions she watched and this carried into her love of performing in school plays, which she did all through her schooling career. Her interest in direction sparked in her final year of high school when she directed a small play of her own. Coming into AFDA, she was excited to pursue a career in the art of performance, but was drawn to the process of film conception and writing. She hopes she will leave AFDA a more confident and imaginative creative.
